ChatGPTCustom MCP plugin
- Open Plugins on the web
In ChatGPT, open Plugins, select the + button, then Add custom MCP server.
- Enter the connection details
Name it Partwright and paste the server address above, including /mcp. Select OAuth. If asked how to register the client, choose dynamic client registration (DCR); leave optional client ID and secret fields empty.
- Create and connect
Review the warning and confirm to create the plugin. When asked, sign in to Partwright, choose your workspace, and approve the requested access.
- Use it in a conversation
Install Partwright from your personal plugins. Start a new Work chat, type @, and select Partwright. Try the prompt below.
Looking for Developer mode? OpenAI’s current guide starts in Plugins. If your account still asks for Developer mode, enable it in ChatGPT settings first. If custom MCP setup is unavailable, ask your workspace admin about access.
ClaudeCustom connector
- Add a custom connector
Open Customize → Connectors in Claude. Choose + Add → Add custom connector.
- Enter the connection details
Name it Partwright, paste the server address above, and continue. Review the detected authentication settings. Choose Sign in now and, under OAuth client, Register automatically. Partwright uses this option rather than Claude’s published identity.
- Approve your workspace
Finish adding the connector and connect if prompted. Sign in to Partwright, choose a workspace, and approve access.
- Enable it in your chat
In a conversation, open + → Connectors and turn on Partwright. Try the prompt below.
Free accounts are limited to one custom connector. On Team or Enterprise, an owner or authorized admin first adds Partwright under Organization settings → Connectors → Add → Custom → Web. Members then connect their own accounts.
GrokCustom connector
- Open Connectors
Go to grok.com/connectors and choose New Connector → Custom.
- Add Partwright
Paste the server address above. If asked for a name, use Partwright. Continue through the sign-in flow.
- Approve your workspace
Sign in to Partwright, choose a workspace, and approve the requested access.
- Start a conversation
Ask Grok to use Partwright with the prompt below. Grok discovers the connector’s tools after you connect.
For Grok Business or Enterprise, a team admin first adds the server in console.x.ai under Grok Business → Connectors → Add Connector → Other. You can then connect your account in Grok.
With editing access, opening a model preview may automatically calculate or refresh a print estimate. Partwright works with Slant 3D to provide estimates and manufacturing. For preview estimates, Partwright may send printable model files, material and colour selections, quantities, and an internal Partwright account identifier to Slant 3D. Preview estimates do not send your email or delivery address, place a manufacturing order, or initiate payment. Delivery details are shared later when you request a delivery quote during checkout.
